BILLIE DAVIS |
|||
| Billie Davis'
career began at a young age when she won a talent contest singing a Connie
Francis song, backed by Cliff Bennett and The Rebel Rousers. Working with
the legendary Joe Meek, she was spotted by Robert Stigwood and instantly
signed up. This was the beginning of a long and exciting career.
Billie's first appearance was on the comedy record pf Mike Sarne, 'Will I what?', but it was her first hit 'Tell Him' that sent Billie into the British charts. She was soon performing on shows with the likes of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. She went on to perform many successful hits with recordings such as 'Angel of the morning' and 'I want you to be my baby'. Billie has recently seen the release of her album, 'Tell Him: The Decca Years' and she continues to perform around the U.K. |
